The Story of Orientarte

It’s difficult to say where and when the story started, but officially it started around August 1.999, with the motivation to start a business and work independently, as well as help many people to search and build their dream careers. 

We started with a small office space in Cali, Colombia offering that, what accompanied me during my now more than 30 years of professional experience: The love for what I do and the satisfaction to dedicate myself to what I’m passionate about and also driven by an astonishing statistic: 

Around year 2.000, Gallup, the famous polling enterprise, published their first indicators about peoples’ (dis-)satisfaction in their workplace: around 80% of people considered themselves by then ill positioned in their workplace. That’s what we wanted to offer to people that get in touch with us! Help them find their dream career in which they can be happy and productive: that started to be our main motivation; well oriented people, from the very beginning, will have a better transition to the world of work and within different working places, aware of themselves and contributing with their happiness to make this a better world!

Little by little we started understanding more about the world of entrepreneurship, the social, educative and economic dynamics, adapting quickly to the environmental changes. 

Career guidance

 We launched our own online based career guidance assesment system, which we have continued developing since then. 


We could buy our own office and since 2012 we work in a hybrid mode, online and face to face.  

Global Career

I achieved the Global Career Development Facilitator Certification for the first time, and as the first Colombian to do so, which gave me a broad global perspective of the possible reaches of our work. 

Social Sustainability

We engaged in the area of social sustainability, contributing with our experience to the social-occupational guidance of youngsters in a condition of social and economic vulnerability.

ORIENTARTE LLC.  offering our (online first) services in the US and elsewhere where the Internet is available, in Spanish, English or German.

During all these years we have also gathered broad experience as Human Talent Consultants (the counterpart of Career Guidance), for national and multinational enterprises, getting to know first hand about the needs of the world of work.
